Training

Delivering efficient, low-carbon heat networks requires the right knowledge at every level, from strategic planning and policy, through to detailed design, installation, and long-term maintenance. That’s why we’ve partnered with leading training providers to support councils, developers, engineers, and contractors on their journey. Whether you’re shaping strategy, specifying technologies, or servicing systems on the ground, these training pathways will help build the skills needed to make the heat transition a success.

CIBSE ACCREDITED CPDS BY SAV

SAV Systems offers expert CPD seminars, accredited by CIBSE, to help engineers and building services professionals design efficient, low-carbon heat networks. These sessions cover key topics such as using high-temperature heat pumps with natural refrigerants, designing systems that improve energy efficiency, using accurate metering, and managing energy effectively.

Whether you're working on new builds or upgrading existing systems, these CPDs provide practical guidance to support the design of reliable, future-ready heat networks.

Energy and Training Academy

We’ve partnered with the Energy and Climate Academy (ECA), an international centre of excellence offering post-graduate education in energy, climate, and environmental matters. For councils, housing providers, and community organisations planning the transition to district heating, ECA’s courses provide the knowledge needed to plan, deliver, and manage these types of energy projects with confidence.

Working in cooperation with leading universities and industry partners, ECA delivers targeted training through online courses designed to raise the level of professional understanding in climate and energy systems.
Whether you’re just getting started or developing your team’s capabilities, ECA offers a clear path to becoming green heat-ready.

SAV Advanced Service Engineer Programme

SAV Systems provides hands-on training for contractors and service companies through its Advanced Service Engineer Training Scheme. This programme is designed to help ensure heat networks run efficiently and reliably over time. It focuses on real-world skills and best practices, with a strong emphasis on the Danfoss FlatStation HIU, the UK’s most widely used Heat Interface Unit.

Engineers learn how to install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimise the unit to keep return temperatures low and reduce energy waste. Training is available at SAV’s centres in Woking, Manchester, and Edinburgh, making it easy to access across the UK.
